This unique network combines both educational and informational tools for the industry and allows the user to upload live updates to both plant material inventories and availability. The industry vendors have the capability to customize their product offerings for the search engines.

Barrington Multi Media, the parent company of the Growit Network, has been in business over 10 years. Fourteen  CD-ROMs have been produced and distributed free of charge to growers, landscapers and retailers. These CD-ROMS contained the information and webpages from the growit.com website and are utilized by many universities as teaching aides in horticultural classes. Forbes Magazine has chosen the Growit Network as one of the Top 200 B2B sites on the Internet 2000-2004. Wall Street Journal has recognized growit's achievements. The CD -Rom is no longer being produced.
